 Walkinshaw Performance Products has launched the firsdt tuning kit for the Gen-F HSV GTS; called  W507 package; 507 meaning the number of kilowatts as kilowatt is the power measurement unit used in Australia.

 The entire development process of the package took a year but the result is more than great, with stunning numbers: 680 hp/6200 rpm and 850 Nm/4400 rpm making it one of the most powerful sedans in the world. The power increase was achieved by using: unique cold air intake; dual active cat back exhaust; ceramic-coated headers and cats; a pulley upgrade, and a new ECU calibration.

 According to Walkinsaw Performance: “The torque is very linear and delivers on our goal of great driveability. Feedback from the owners centred on the refinement of the package, and a lack of harshness which some had come to expect.”

 The company also stated that there are already: "over 200 orders waiting to be filled and we are confident we will have every one fitted by the end of February"
